What is Invisalign?

Polanco, Mexico City Invisalign are custom created for your teeth from flexible, transparent plastic. We recommend Invisalign for patients with minor spacing issues or mild to moderate teeth crowding. If you have severe orthodontic problems, like extensive teeth crowding or a major bite or palate issue, you may require more extensive treatment by an orthodontist.

Preparing your teeth for Invisalign

We’ll conduct an examination to confirm that you’re a good candidate for Invisalign. Then, we use innovative technology to produce your aligner trays.

Digital impressions

Digital impressions are an accurate, fast option for taking a 3D model of your mouth. We use high-quality scanners to produce 3D recordings and images of your teeth.

3D printing

3D printing technology uses your scans from the digital impressions to produce your Invisalign. This technology helps us make aligners quickly, eliminating long waiting periods and multiple trips to the dentist.

Wearing your Invisalign

We will fit you for multiple Invisalign: as your teeth move, you’ll need a new aligner that addresses these changes in your teeth. Most patients switch to a new aligner every one week for the duration of their treatment.

You need to wear your aligner for 20 to 22 hours a day for optimal results. This means that you should wear your aligner anytime you aren’t eating or brushing and flossing your teeth.

What happens after you get Invisalign?

Your aligners will move your teeth a little bit at a time. Most patients wear Invisalign between 6 and 24 months, but if your issues are minor or you’ve previously had traditional braces, you may have a shorter treatment time.

Once you’ve completed your treatment period for Invisalign in Polanco, Mexico City, you’ll wear a retainer to prevent your teeth from shifting from their new positions. It’s extremely important to wear your retainer for 20 to 22 hours per day for the first 2 months after treatment so that your bone can solidify your teeth into their new positions. After that, you will wear your retainers at night only for life.

It’s also easy to care for your Invisalign and retainers. Clean them daily with a soft-bristled brush and a mild dish soap or product designed for cleaning aligners, retainers, and other oral appliances. Avoid using toothpaste on your aligners and retainers because it is too abrasive and can damage them.

What are the benefits of Invisalign?

Invisalign in Polanco, Mexico City have multiple benefits that make them a favorable alternative to metal braces:

Though you need to wear your aligners most of the time, you’re allowed to remove them to eat or to brush and floss your teeth. You don’t need to change your diet or snack habits with Invisalign in Polanco, Mexico City, and it’s faster and easier to maintain your dental hygiene habits.
